Cynthia “Salonista” Kosciuczyk introduced her latest project, Salonista Says Soup!, at 1 Million Cups San Diego—a heartfelt celebration of food, culture, and community.
The book features soup recipes from around the world, each paired with meaningful family or cultural stories. More than just a cookbook, it’s an invitation to share meals, build community, and nourish both body and soul.
A portion of the book’s proceeds supports Father Joe’s Village in San Diego, helping fund daily meals and the Freddie Evarkiou Culinary Arts Program, which trains individuals experiencing homelessness for careers in the food industry.
Cynthia’s mission is simple: bring people together through the comfort and connection of soup. She encourages readers to start their own “Soup Clubs” to share meals, swap stories, and strengthen local bonds.
